Pictures Around Nanjing

Corn out to dry on the stairs in Guilin

A scene from the Guilin dragon mountain rice terraces

Except for the person in the hat this could totally be a picture on a postcard!

Red Hot Sun Dried Chilly Peppers (almost a good as the band)

Do you see the elephant?

US Silverware bought from soldiers so they could have money.

This is home! We live in a tiny apartment with 8 girls and 1 bathroom. That makes it fun for sure! There are lots of fun issues to sort out but it is a great opportunity to experience life and dealing with difficult or frustrating experiences! It is not much but it is home! We live on the 6th floor with no elevator so we are pretty sure that by the time we get home we will have some really good looking calves!
Our favorite noodle place
Laura and I at the mini lake on Nanjing University Campus

Yummy bubble waffle thing $1

Nanjing traditional dishes including sticky rice filled lotus root and stinky tofu...not trying that again! Yuck!

China Week 1
We finally arrived in Shanghai at the Pudong International Airport! We had a very long day of flying and then once we landed we took the shuttle bus to the train station and then took a train to Nanjing and then once we got to the Nanjing railway station we took a taxi to our hotel. The 6 of us (Back row left to right Miranda, Andrew, Marcus)(Front row left to right Laurie, Laura, Ashleigh)
We were both really glad that we had all these boys with us on our travels. We were exhausted once we finally got to our hotel. Jin's inn's hard beds were a welcomed relief after 19 hours of traveling!
